Berita Ini Bakal Memeningkan CEO Air Asia

~malaysian insider

Injured nurse to sue AirAsia after hostess fell on her
Erin Crocker is set to sue AirAsia after a hostess fell on her.
A MELBOURNE mum is suing strife-plagued airline AirAsia after an air hostess fell on top of her mid-flight, injuring her foot.
Erin Crocker, 36, almost abandoned her Supreme Court claim after the airline’s Flight QZ8501, from the Indonesian city of Surabaya to Singapore, crashed into the Java Sea on December 28, killing all 162 aboard.
But Ms Crocker has now decided to fight on.
The nurse was returning from a family holiday to Thailand last April 4 when the plane hit severe turbulence and she was thrown to the floor.

A flight attendant then fell on her, injuring her right foot.
Ms Crocker suffered multiple joint fractures and a ligament tear requiring major surgery that sidelined her for weeks.
Ms Crocker also suffered deep vein thrombosis below her right knee.
Ms Crocker is seeking damages for pain and suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, medical expenses and loss of income. She has rejected a settlement offer.
Lawyer Nancy Yonan, of Arnold Thomas and Becker, said that in its offer, AirAsia had wanted Ms Crocker to sign away any future entitlement to make a claim.
“It is unfortunate that we had to commence legal proceedings in the Supreme Court, but AirAsia made an offer of settlement which represents only a minute fraction of the claim’s true value," Ms Yonan said.
“Interestingly, Ms Crocker did not want to continue with her claim when she learned of the QZ8501 crash, as she was of the view she would be taking money away from those victims,” she said, “but she is now determined to fight for her rights.”
So far, just 50 bodies of those lost in the air crash have been recovered.
